Mentee Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to you if you book mentoring sessions on Hamara Mentor (www.hamaramentor.com). They sit alongside our general Terms and Conditions, which also apply to you.

Last updated: 22 August 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

Hamara Mentor is operated by the Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (“MEPSC” or “the Company”), registered office 20th Floor, Amba Deep, 14 Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi – 110001, India. By registering as a mentee you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for payments made from your account.

3. What you are buying

You are buying a scheduled one-to-one mentoring session with an independent mentor. Mentors are not employed by the Company. Mentoring is guidance drawn from a mentor’s experience. It is not legal, medical, financial, investment or psychological advice, and no mentor and no one at the Company can promise you a job, an admission, a promotion or any other result. What you do with the guidance is your decision and your responsibility.

4. Booking and payment

The fee shown at the time of booking is the fee you pay, plus any taxes the law requires. Your booking is confirmed once payment is received and the Platform shows the session as confirmed. You will find the joining link in your account and in your confirmation email. See the Pricing Policy for how mentors set their fees.

5. Cancellations, reschedules and refunds

These are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy. In short: cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before the session and you pay nothing; inside 24 hours a charge applies; if you do not turn up, the fee is charged in full; and if the mentor cancels or is more than 10 minutes late, you choose between a reschedule and a full refund.

6. Attending a session

Please join on time and be ready. A session ends at its scheduled time, so time lost by joining late is not made up. You are responsible for your own internet connection, device, camera and microphone; we cannot refund a session that failed because of a problem at your end, though we will always look at the facts.

7. Sessions and recordings

The Company may record a session for quality assurance, dispute resolution and safety. You will be told before recording starts and may decline to proceed. Recordings are kept for six months and then deleted, so please raise any complaint about a session within three months while the recording is still available. You must not record, screenshot or otherwise capture a session yourself, and you must not share any part of a session, without the written consent of everyone involved.

8. How to behave

Treat mentors with courtesy. You must not harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against a mentor, ask a mentor to do your work for you, or use a session to obtain confidential information about a mentor’s employer. We may remove content and suspend accounts for breach of this clause.

9. Dealing outside the Platform

Please keep your dealings with a mentor you met here on the Platform, while your account is active and for six months afterwards. Going off-platform removes the payment protection, the recording and the dispute process that you are paying for, and it may cost you a refund if something later goes wrong.

10. Your account

Give accurate information, keep your password confidential and tell us at support@ugrowthconsultancy.com if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity on your account.

11. Intellectual property

Material a mentor shares in a session is for your personal use. Do not republish or resell it. The Platform, its software and branding belong to the Company.

12. Data protection

The Company is a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. What we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it are set out in the Privacy Policy.

13. Liability

Subject to the law, the Company’s liability to you in connection with a session is limited to the amount you paid for that session. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

14. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to support@ugrowthconsultancy.com. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, for fraud or suspected fraud, or for conduct that puts a mentor at risk. Where the breach is not serious, we give notice and a chance to correct it. Any refund due for a session already paid for is dealt with under the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. Material changes will be notified before they take effect and do not apply retrospectively to bookings already made.

16. Grievances, governing law and severability

Complaints go to the Grievance Officer at support@ugrowthconsultancy.com, who acknowledges within 48 hours and responds within one month, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer forum. If any provision is unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues in force.
